> How is “Art & French As You Like”
It different from other art workshops?
Art & French As You Like It provides Art and French together. Participants
are immersed in a truly unique experience in the birthplace of Impressionism.
Attendees experience French and Bretagne culture while learning the history
of Impressionism. Attendees receive one-on-one instruction in painting
with “practical” French lessons that are designed to support
your painting experience. <HOME>

We teach art, language and culture. Providing you with an experience that
is truly French. You will learn various art techniques and theories, while
experiencing the unique Bretagne landscape. At the same time, instruction
in French is coordinated with your daily activities. This provides you
with the language skills and cultural experience coordinated with your
painting experiences. Bretagne is a truly unique landscape and Keremma
is a National Treasure of France. <REGION>
> What to Expect ?
There will be daily painting sessions in nearby luxurious Keremma Gardens,
historic Keremma Beach, our Host Maison, local landscapes and more. Brittany
is world famous for their magnificent cloud and rock formations that are
unique in all the world.
Before and after each painting sessions there will be
French language lessons that pertain to each days events. Each person
receives individual instruction in painting and French in a relaxed atmosphere.
Paint at your own pace, developing skills while refining your work. Immerse
yourself in the French art, language and culture. <SCHEDULE>
> Are spouses welcome?
Yes. There is plenty to do in the surrounding area, with Keremma Beach
only a 10 minute walk. Spouses can choose to participate in “French
As You Like it” without participating in painting. <REGION>

> Is there internet and phone
access?
There is phone access by using your personal call card number.
Internet access is available per dial-up via your personal account.
> Is there a Painting Studio?
Yes. There is a large painting studio available in the garden of our Host
Maison. The studio is available in case of inclement weather and also
after painting sessions to continue working and refining your artwork.

> What is the weather?
Summer weather usually varies between 65°-75°F depending upon
the summer. Britanny is famous for its magnificent clouds. It is not unusual
for a day to have sun, clouds, slight rain, followed by sun. All plein
air easels will be equipped with umbrellas. Participants should bring
a light poncho in case of an afternoon shower. Check out the averages
for your time period before you come. <REGION>
> What is included in the
price ?
Price varies according Room <LODGING>
and Participation <RATES>. Full Participation
includes Painting, French, Lodging & Meals. Price includes demonstrations,
presentations and critiques, French lessons before and after each days
outing and transportation to and from painting sites.
> Where will I stay ?
Our historic stone Host Maison is situated in the very private Keremma.
Founded in 19th century, Keremma is a National Landmark of France. <LODGING>

> Where will I paint ?
Keremma is situated on the northern coast of Brittany, surrounded by lush
vegetation and historic stone villages. We will paint in various locations,
including Keremma Park, our Host Maison, Keremma beach and local gardens.

> Am I responsible for my
own materials ?
Yes. You may bring your own materials or order your materials from us
and have them waiting for you when you arrive. “Art & French
As You Like It” has a special relationship with Sennelier Art Materials,.
Select colors and sets are available at a discount price. <SUPPLIES>
> Can I paint in the medium of my choice
?
Yes, all artists may select the medium they wish to paint with: oil paint,
oil pastel, acrylic paint, watercolor, soft pastel, drawing, etc.
> How do I get to the
workshop site ?
You may drive, fly or take a train. If you are flying into CDG airport
in Paris, you will take the high speed TGV train and we will pick you
up at the train station. All directions and instructions will be sent
to you before you come.<ACCESS>
> What is your payment policy ?
Applications will be processed in order of receipt. Each participant must
pay a non-refundable
500 € deposit to secure their painting workshops and French sessions.
The balance must be received in full by April 1, 2008. If participant's
payment is not paid in full by April 1, 2008, they risk of the loss of
their reservation. <RATES>

> What is the refund policy in case participant
cancels ?
If a participant cancels prior to the workshop their payment (less 500E
deposit) may be applied to another workshop the same year or following
year, should space be available. Cancellation notification must be made
via email, with confirmation by Art & French in Brittany. Participants
are highly advised to purchase Travel Insurance. <RATES>
> What is the refund policy in case Art
& French in Brittany cancels ?
Full refunds will be given to participants should
the workshop be cancelled by Art & French in Brittany.
