TEACHERS
Glenn holds a BFA from California College of the Arts and an MFA from Cranbrook Academy of Art. He is currently an Adjunct Professor of Art at San Francisco State University. The recipient of two NEA Visual Fellowships. Author of “Beyond the Brush” and co-author of the “The Acrylic Handbook”, Glenn has been a painter for almost 30 years. His artwork is in the permanent collections of the Brooklyn Museum, Archives of American Art: Smithsonian Institute, Phoenix Art Museum and San Jose Museum of Art. Glenn also has over 15 years experience within the art material industry where he has helped to develop and test Sennelier oils, acrylics, oil pastels and soft pastels; Lefranc & Bourgeois oils; Lascaux acrylics; Isabey & Raphael brushes; Fabriano paper and Cretacolor drawing materials. Glenn has also developed nationwide educational presentations & workshops on art materials and has given over 100 presentations & workshops throughout the U.S., Europe and Asia. Marguerite is a native Parisian. In 1999 she graduated from Essec Business School with a major in International Marketing. From 1999 to 2005 Marguerite lived and worked in San Francisco as a Product Manager for Savoir Faire, a fine art materials company specializing in products from Europe and Asia, where she also coordinated product developed for various painting and drawing materials. In 2006 she established “French as You Like It”, to help English speakers improve their French language skills and promote the understanding of French culture. In 2007 “French As You Like It® was registered as a teaching methodology within France. “French As You Like It” is a teaching program based upon each student’s level, needs and lifestyle. Each student’s goals and interests are identified and coordinated into their personalized program. Lessons focus on pertinent vocabulary, grammar and conversational skills. Instructor Statement |
